LARGEST EVER HATCHERY OPENS IN CHINA

Admin2018-07-24T03:29:26+00:00

60 million female commercial chicks are to be produced annually from the world’s largest layer hatchery, which has recently opened in China.

The Huayu International Poultry Incubation Centre, which includes an international training and conference centre, has been officially opened in Handan in China’s Hebei province.

It is being run by Huayu Agricultural Technology Co Ltd, a distributor of Hy-Line International, the world leader in layer poultry genetics. Hy-Line International produces and sells brown and white egg stock to more than 120 countries.

Jonathan Cade, Hy-Line International president, said: “I congratulate the Huayu team, headed by its president, Mr Lianzeng Wang, for their vision of the changing demands and even leading the change in the China layer market.”

The hatchery boasts world-class biosecurity, drainage and construction equipment.

The official launch coincided with the 2018 International Layer Innovation Summit and was attended by more than 500 people.
